Lead Pastor Candidate Portfolio

Welcome.

This site presents my calling, theological convictions, leadership philosophy, and vision for GPBC.

Introduction

Dear Search Committee Members,

As the current Youth and Discipleship Director at Greater Portland Bible Church, I offer a candidacy uniquely positioned to meet our church’s needs. This is not only because of internal familiarity, but because of demonstrated alignment with our emerging priorities. I have led the staff through 20 weeks of discipleship training, hosted a weekend conference for 60 leaders, and launched a Discipleship Lab focused on reshaping our culture. These initiatives are not theoretical. They are functioning prototypes of the direction our church has affirmed. My relationships across all generations of our congregation provide a strong foundation for a seamless transition and immediate traction in the Lead Pastor role.

My ministry is grounded in a clear why. Jesus' sacrifice restores us wholly to God, leading us to intentionally love others in a way that invites them into authentic relationship with Him and equips them to do the same. This conviction has shaped two decades of ministry. It has carried me through challenges like my son’s cancer diagnosis and given me the strength to preach truth in both grief and restoration. It has also guided my leadership. I have equipped our staff, built discipleship environments, doubled youth ministry through intentional care, and crafted messages that form disciples rather than simply deliver content. These efforts have already begun answering our church’s call for deeper formation both inside and outside our walls. Our interim pastor has affirmed this progress repeatedly.

I envision Greater Portland Bible Church becoming a multiplying community of authentic discipleship—a family faithfully following Jesus and equipping others to do the same. By building reproducible systems that reflect our mission and values, we can move from aspiration to movement. Disciples will make disciples, leadership development will grow organically, and spiritual multiplication will become a natural part of our life together. This vision honors our heritage and moves us forward into what God has next.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my leadership, experience, and passion for the future of this body align with the path ahead.

Sincerely,
